Preschool at New Albin Elementary had a special visitor today. Becky Rea from the Allamakee County Extension office came in to talk about apples. After the students got done learning about apples they got to do a taste test between red and green apples.

FFA members attended the Northeast District FFA Convention on Saturday. Addyson and Dustin were voting delegates and Chapter Test takers. Addyson earned gold and Dustin earned silver. Ella and Evelynn were Greenhand Test takers both earning a bronze. Congratulations! Great job!

Kee High seniors spent the morning participating in a Reality 101 simulation. The students learned all about juggling finances, housing costs and living costs. Thank you Allamakee county businesses for putting this on for our students!

The Lansing FFA still has 5 flats available. They are $40 per flat and are delicious. Mr. Rankin will stay after school in the HS cafeteria until 4:00pm selling them until they are sold out. Please consider supporting the FFA in their Strawberry Fundraiser!! Thank you.

Strawberries Delayed!!! Just got word a few minutes ago that the strawberry delivery has been delayed and won't arrive until Wednesday. They won't go on sale until Thursday now. I'll keep everyone posted. Watch for updates. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Freshly picked Florida Strawberries will be delivered tomorrow. The Lansing FFA Chapter will start selling them Tuesday, March 6th right after school at 3:35. It will be first come, first serve. If you purchased them in years past, you know how delicious these are.
