With heavy hearts, Eastern Allamakee mourns the passing of beloved coach and educator Gene Schultz

Lansing FFA had 2 individuals compete at the NE subdistrict LDEs at Starmont HS tonight. Cutler Lemke competed in the Greenhand test and received a bronze rating. Brielle Gavin competed in Ag Sales and received 2nd place gold and advancing to Districts. Brielle is the first Lansing FFA member to qualify for districts in school history. Way to go! Congratulations to the both of them for a job well done.

Seventh graders are learning about the National FFA Organization in Ag Exploratory class. This week they are learning about the official dress that is required of FFA members and how to tie a tie. Looking sharp 7th graders!

New Albin Elementary Preschool Open House will be held on February, 23rd from 3:00PM to 6:00PM.

Future engineers at work! This past week, Mrs. Cotas 6th grade science students have learned about thermal energy transfer and insulation materials. They are using that information to design, test, and refine water bottles/thermos containers. Once they complete their product, they will add hot water and measure the temperature to see how much the temperature changed over a period of time. We are excited to find out which design/insulating materials are the best for minimizing thermal energy transfer.

National School Counseling Week shines a spotlight on the important work school counselors do to support students’ growth, well-being, and future success.
