Two of our track & field athletes represented us well today at the Eastern Iowa Track Festival in Iowa City. Lilah Strong placed 3rd in High Jump and 7th in the 400m dash, while Addison Winters earned 1st in the 400m hurdles and 4th in both the 100m hurdles and Long Jump.

Come see the fun show Willy Wonka Jr. this weekend, Saturday, April 11 at 7:00 and Sunday, April 12 at 2:00 Kee High gymnasium! Admission at the door!

New Albin Elementary is recognizing students displaying HAWK behavior for the month of April!

Congratulations to the following students who will receive recognition at the Spring Concert on Monday, April 27th at 6:30 pm. They will also receive VIP access - free admission - to a summer event of choice and will receive free popcorn and a drink courtesy of NEST. Today we’re proud to recognize and celebrate the incredible individuals who keep our libraries running and our students inspired every single day.

A special thank you to our district librarian, Deb Masek, whose leadership and passion for literacy help guide and strengthen our entire program.

We also want to highlight Heather Nuehring and Kari Wood, who are truly essential to our entire school community. While they keep our libraries welcoming, organized, and full of opportunities for students, their impact reaches far beyond those walls. They support classrooms, assist students and staff throughout the day, and step in wherever they are needed. Their flexibility, dedication, and willingness to go above and beyond make a difference in countless ways, every single day.

Please join us in thanking Deb, Heather, and Kari for being such an essential part of our school community!

The Lansing FFA Chapter had 3 members participate in the NICC Animal Science Showcase in Calmar. Members had the opportunity to learn about a variety of topics including the health and care of cows and calves, animal nutrition, the dairy industry, embryo flushing techniques, starting a farm, and much more. Members also had the chance to hear a presentation from a Kee High alumni, who shared her experiences and the opportunities she has had while attending NICC. It was a great hands-on experience that allowed members to expand their knowledge and explore future opportunities in agriculture!

Congratulations to our elementary student winners from FFA Week! The Lansing FFA chapter also gave back to the community by collecting an amazing 194 items and $45 in donations for the local food bank, LIFT!! Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the week. We hope you had a great time celebrating with us! 🌾🐄

Great start to the week for our High School Track & Field teams! They opened the season Tuesday at the UIC Indoor Meet at Luther College, with the girls team tying for 2nd place, and followed it up Thursday at the NFV Early Bird with another strong showing.

International club is enjoying a spring weekend in Chicago. We have seen Millennium Park and Cloud Gateway, Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, Navy Pier, the Magnificent Mile as well as had so great food. Sunday is the Field Museum and then return to Iowa.

The Lansing Middle School Band earned a Division I Superior Rating at the NEIBA MS Band Large Group Festival at North Fayette Valley today! Congratulations to these amazing kids and their director, Liz Bahr!
