Many students from EACS took time this morning to honor those who served for Memorial day.

Congratulations to Justin and Zach on their 2026 State Track and Field performances. Also, thank you to the Lansing Fire Department for always facilitating a special welcome home for the kids who make it to State.

Congratulations to Rowan Troendle on earning the Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) Principles of Small Engine Technology Certification! This certification recognizes Rowan’s knowledge and hands-on skills in small engine technology, including troubleshooting, servicing, maintenance, and equipment management. Earning this industry-recognized certification is a great accomplishment and showcases Rowan’s dedication and hard work in agricultural and technical education. Great job, Rowan! STATE CHAMPIONS!! 🏆🥛💙💛 Congratulations to the Lansing FFA Milk Quality and Products Team for winning the State FFA Contest held at Iowa State University today! Team members included Brielle Gavin, Ronny Escobar Lopez, Maddie Mauss, and Alexus Rowan Individual Results: 🥇 Brielle Gavin — 1st Overall Individual 🥈 Ronny Escobar Lopez — 2nd Overall 🏅 Maddie Mauss — 7th Overall 🏅 Alexus Rowan — 9th Overall The team also earned: 🥇 1st in Individual Test, Analyze & Interpretation 🥇 1st in Milk Products Identification 🥈 2nd in Milk Flavor Defect This outstanding team will now represent the State of Iowa at the National FFA Convention this October and compete against the top teams from across the country! The JH girls did amazing at their conference meet in West Union against 3A and 2A schools. 7th grade had 9 girls who worked hard and finished the year 2nd in the conference! 8th grade had 4 girls and finished 7th!

There was an error in the calculation/results at the NE FFA District Agronomy Contest, and the teams performed better than previously announced. Lansing FFA Team 1 placed 2nd, and Lansing FFA Team 2 placed 3rd overall. They also had four individuals place in the top 10: * Wesley McKee — 6th place * Brody Meyer — 7th place * Irey Mettille — 8th place * Conner Winters — 9th place Congratulations to everyone who participated!

Our 8th graders had a great time yesterday on their field trip to the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque! Students explored hands-on exhibits, learned more about the history and wildlife of the Mississippi River, and enjoyed a fun day of learning outside the classroom.

Congratulations to the Lansing FFA Agronomy Class for winning the Farmers Union Cooperative Soybean Marketing Contest! Over the past several months, students participated in a hands-on grain marketing competition involving the marketing of 5,000 bushels of soybeans. Throughout the contest, the Agronomy class learned valuable lessons about grain marketing by tracking market trends and making real-world decisions on when and how much grain to sell. The Lansing FFA extends a sincere thank you to Farmers Union Cooperative for sponsoring this outstanding educational opportunity and providing students with meaningful, hands-on experience in agricultural marketing. Brian Anderson of Farmers Union Cooperative presented a $1,000 check to Lansing FFA Treasurer Elliott Renk and members of the Lansing FFA Agronomy Class in recognition of their achievement. Great job to everyone involved!
