April 26, 2024- Special Meeting Minutes

SPECIAL MEETING – APRIL 26, 2024

 

A Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Allamakee CSD was held in Room N110 at Kee High School, Lansing, Iowa on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 6:01 p.m.

 

Board Members Present:  Tony Becker, Bobbie Goetzinger, Joe Manning, Melanie Mauss, and Arla Wagner.  Also, present Dr. Dale Crozier, EACS Superintendent Interim and Michele Martin, Board Secretary. 

 

The meeting was called to order by Bobbie Goetzinger, Board President.  

 

AGENDA ADOPTION:  A motion was made by Manning and seconded by Wagner to adopt the agenda as presented.  The vote was all ayes.  Motion carried.

 

APPROVE TRANSFER:  A motion was made by Becker and seconded by Manning to approve the transfer of Hudson Johnston from Special Education Teacher to Fifth Grade Teacher 2024-25 School Year.  The vote was all ayes.  Motion carried.

 

APPROVE EASTERN ALLAMAKEE CLASSIFIED STAFF AGREEMENT/TEAMSTERS, NO. 238 FOR JULY 1, 2024 – JUNE 30, 2026:  Wagner made a motion to approve the Eastern Allamakee Community School District and Eastern Allamakee Classified Staff – Represented by Teamsters, No. 238 Two-Year Agreement, July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2026.  Mauss seconded the motion.  The vote was all ayes.  Motion carried.

 

APPROVE EASTERN ALLAMAKEE CSD NON-CERTIFIED EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK CHANGES: 

Manning made a motion to approve the changes as presented and Becker seconded.  The vote was all ayes.  Motion carried.

 

CLOSED SESSION CODE OF IOWA CHAPTER 21.5(1)i: – Evaluate an individual whose employment is being considered.   

 

Closed session was entered at 6:15 p.m.

 

Board Members Present:  Tony Becker, Bobbie Goetzinger, Joe Manning, Melanie Mauss, and Arla Wagner.

 

Manning made a motion to adjourn at 8:09 p.m. Mauss seconded.  The vote was all ayes.  Motion carried.
